1) Is "The Darkest Day" playable with ToB installed?  Top
"The Darkest Day" is an unofficial game modification made for BG2:SoA which began development long prior to the release of ToB, thus it is designed for BG2:SoA. Plans are to create and upgrade patch that will be downloadable within weeks (could be many weeks, as the goal is to iron out bugs in the BG2:SoA first) after the initial release to add some features as well as make it ToB compatible.

2) Can I start playing "The Darkest Day" using my current save games from BG2:SoA?  Top
NO!!! "The Darkest Day" has elements that affect everything from character creation to events in early game chapters and continuing throughout BG2:SoA, thus it is recommended you start a new game. In fact there are likely many elements to the game that can only be properly encountered by a game that has been newly started after installing "The Darkest Day". For this reason we state that you need to start a new game (yes you can import characters exported from a normal BG2:SoA game). Anyone that does not start a new game to play "The Darkest Day" may run into issues that could cause problems in game play and we cannot support troubles encountered due to failing to start a new game for playing "The Darkest Day"

3) Can I play "The Darkest Day" in multiplayer mode?  Top
Of course. Just like the official game, its official expansion and the previous games using this game engine; as long as all players have the same game elements installed, all can play together in multiplayer mode.

4) What about the official patches?  Top
All official patches need to be installed *PRIOR* to installing "The Darkest Day". This will be mentioned and detailed during the installation of "The Darkest Day" to ensure people understand this. Installing any official patch after installing "The Darkest Day" will ruin the game install as the official patches do not take an install of "The Darkest Day" into account.

5) Can I have custom new items, spells and other such custom files installed with "The Darkest Day" being installed?  Top
Yes, but only if you install them (or make them) after installing "The Darkest Day". This is because your dialog.tlk file (the texts in the game) gets replaced when you install "The Darkest Day".

6) What languages is "The Darkest Day" available in?  Top
The creators of "The Darkest Day" use the english versions of the game to create it thus all texts will be in english. This will mean that you *can* install it as an upgrade to any other language version (unless we hear otherwise), but all texts of the game (not just TDD) will be in english. Just as with "Dark Side of the Sword Coast", translations can be made by interested people using one or more utilities at TeamBG.com. Keep in mind, translation is a very large task. Please wait until after the TDD-ToB patch is released to do translations as that patch will completely replace the current dialog(f).tlk files with new ones based upon the ToB dialog(f).tlk files.
